Life Story for Richard Hoff
Richard G. “Richie” Hoff, of Middletown, NY, died with his family by his side at Orange Regional Medical Center on August 2, 2017. He was 62 years old.
Richie was born on February 7, 1955 in Queens, NY, son to the late George J. and Kathleen (McAtter) Hoff. He was a graduate of Elmont Memorial High School and continued his education at Ithaca College receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.
On July 10, 1993 he married Katherine Ann Mielnick in Middletown, NY. Richard was a store manager with Modell’s Sporting Goods in Nanuet, NY for over 20 years. He as an avid NY Yankees, NY Giants and NY Rangers fan. He enjoyed fly fishing and creating different culinary delights. Richie loved the beach. Throughout his travels, he favored Aruba above many locations. There, he and Kathy would simply forget about all their concerns....relaxing and sharing in each others company.
Mr. Hoff is not only survived by his wife, Katherine Ann, but also his brother George R. Hoff of Cheyenne, WY, his nieces; Jennifer Holland and Stephanie Robirds and his nephew Jeffrey Hoff.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 7:30 pm at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. A private cremation will follow. Friends and family may call at the Beecher Funeral Home on Monday from 4pm-8pm.
In lieu of flower, contributions in memory of Richie may be made to Turn 2 Foundation, Inc., 215 Park Avenue South, Suite 1905, NY, NY 10003, an organization meant to help children ‘Turn 2’ a better lifestyle away from drugs and alcohol.
