Michael C. Robson, a lifelong resident of North Salem, NY, died Monday, October 29, 2012 in North Salem, NY. He was 13 years old.
Born in Carmel, NY on July 29, 1999, Michael was the son of Michael and Theresa (Lee) Robson. He was a student at the North Salem Middle School and spoke often of becoming a Park Ranger.
Michael loved a challenge and it showed in everything he put his mind to.
He mentioned numerous times how each year should be made up of only two seasons; summer and winter. He was a valued teammate with the North Salem Tigers Baseball in the summer in addition to enjoying his quad riding and water and jet skiing. In the winter he could be found snow skiing, which by far was his most favorite sport. Time spent with family and friends during these activities was most important to Michael. He felt ‘There’s no place like home except for Grandmas’. He loved the idea of living so close to his grandparents, sharing with them in all his endeavors.
Besides his parents, Michael is survived by his two sisters, Ashley and Caitlin Robson of North Salem; his paternal grandparents, Michelle and Charles Erickson of Dover Plains, NY and his maternal grandparents, Ellen and Charles Voelkl of North Salem and James and Holly Lee of Queens, NY. Also several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, 2012 1:00pm at St. Joseph’s Church, Croton Falls, NY. Interment following at Peach Pond Cemetery, North Salem, NY. Friends and family may call on Thursday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster (www.beecherfuneralhome.com).
